It is not within my ability to define what heaven and earth are exactly, but I've made some energetic observations in dreaming that have helped me to navigate better. The first thing I noticed was that "time" in heaven ran "perpendicular" to time within the "solid" planes. So, I came up with the terminology "vertical" for the heaven realm and "horizontal" for everything else, because the edges of these two zones are sometimes blurred, and you have to look at these vertical and horizontal properties to tell where the boundary is. So, besides time, matter and energy in heaven are also "vertical" or original and everything else is like a shadow or manifestation of it, the horizontal plane is the familiar though imperfect world. The vertical realm, though extremely complex, works as one integrated unit, like a clock that has one cause, one key that winds it up, the effect being predictable yet unknowable at the same time. If "horizontal numbers" are what explain our universe, then "vertical numbers" are what describe heaven. Not only is the physics totally different between the two realm, the units of "measure" are too.

Anyway, I'll just try to jot down amusing facts about the relationships between the two realms as I recall them, so there could be quite a few edits on this page. Over the years, I've had countless conversations with angels, actually more so than with anything else, but I still focus on nagualism because this realm is where I live at this time, and I want to understand it while I'm here. Angels are basically unimpressed by inorganic beings and have chastised me for talking to them on more than one occasion. But, the inorganic beings have maintained their own right to be free, even if angels don't agree with it, so I try to get both sides of the argument. Among other things, angels have told me that the earth was once part of heaven and that god walked upon it. There are many universes, like bubbles in heaven, that exist. Our bubble rose to the surface and burst, and that is what we call the "big bang."

The earth is special, not only because god actually set foot on it, but also because angels have fought, suffered and died on it. A truce was called and now there is a shadow of the earth, called "hell" by us, that is the domain of the angels that want to stay in the horizontal realm. Since all the realms and worlds of our reality are horizontal, even the inorganic realm, the chances of one of us finding a vertical realm are slim. This is why people freak out and write books about it when it does happen. Like I said before, there is a bit of a mixture between the horizontal and vertical realities, like when you are in the inorganic realm, you can detect remnants of heaven there that are not present here, so it sort of makes the trip worthwhile. So, journeying far and wide in dreaming can sometimes feel like a treasure hunt, because there is always that additional bonus of new vertical influences to detect.

What nagualism might actually be, is not just a horizontal path, but the ultimate version of it. If you take all the universes that have bubbled up to the surface of heaven and burst forth, and you look at that energy as a whole, that "effervescence," it has a wonderful sound, the sound of god's laughter. So, it may not be a perfect place, but, somehow, it brings joy to god, it is the joy of god. And that is the big picture I try to stay focused on, even when the small picture is not so much fun.
